Athletic, talented eventing or jumper prospect now available in Firestone, CO from Changing Leads Thoroughbred Retraining Project: Dig Alittle Deeper or Digger -- coming 6 yo, 16.1h, bay OTTB gelding.

Stakes-placed in Canada and half-brother to graded stakes winners Peace Preserver and 2015 Grade 1 Maker's 46 Mile winner Jack Milton, Digger retired sound from racing in November of 2015. After some time turned out to pasture he began retraining in the summer of 2016. Currently with dressage and eventing trainer Angelika Beutel at Hobby Horse Farm in Firestone, CO, Digger's flatwork is coming along beautifully and he has started over fences. Best suited for an experienced rider looking for an athletic project. Plenty of athletic ability for at least training level eventing with an in-your-pocket type of personality. Will make someone a very nice horse - finish how you like.

Update:  Digger was adopted by Melissa Rose of Longmont, CO in February of 2017.  An experienced, thoroughbred-loving horsewoman with her own farm and riding lesson program, Melissa is excited to take Digger on as her personal project.  Melissa says he is extremely smart and quite the "rockstar" - a pleasure to work with!
